1. Introduction
Hatzolah International (“Hatzolah International”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information collected through the Hatzolah International mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how and why we use it, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the rights and choices available to users.
2. About Hatzolah International
Hatzolah International is a community connection and information platform designed to help people locate participating Hatzolah members who are temporarily staying or travelling away from their home communities. Approved Hatzolah members may voluntarily publish temporary posts containing information such as their general location, dates of stay, equipment, languages and contact information.
The Service also provides location-based information, including nearby hospitals and other relevant resources.
Hatzolah International is not an ambulance service, emergency dispatch service, medical provider or replacement for official local emergency services or an official Hatzolah organisation.
3. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the Service.
For public users, this may include:
- Location information when permission is granted;
- Locations searched within the Service;
- App interactions and technical information;

- Email address;

We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide, secure and administer the Service.
4. Location Information
With your permission, Hatzolah International may access your device location to provide location-based features. Location information may be used to:
- Show active member posts near you;
- Calculate approximate distances;
- Find participating members within the relevant search radius;
- Display nearby hospitals;
- Provide map-based information;
- Search your current area; and
- Allow members to select a location for a temporary travel post.
You can deny or withdraw location permission through your device settings. You may still be able to search for a city or location manually where this functionality is available.
Hatzolah International does not use location permission to provide continuous live tracking of users.
5. Member Registration and Verification
Only approved Hatzolah members may publish member posts.
Applicants may be asked to provide information and supporting documentation to verify their membership or credentials. Applications are reviewed by an authorised administrator.
Where necessary, the administrator may contact the applicant or the applicant’s stated home Hatzolah organisation or service to confirm information supplied during the application process.
Verification documents are used for verification, security and administration and are not displayed publicly. Access to verification information is restricted to authorised persons who require it for legitimate administrative purposes.
6. Information Members Publish
Approved members may voluntarily create temporary posts containing information such as:
- General location;
- Dates of stay;
- Equipment;
- Languages spoken;
- Phone number;
- Availability; and
- Other information voluntarily included by the member.
Information intentionally included in a public post may be visible to users of the Service. Members should only publish information they are comfortable making available to others.
Information made publicly available may be copied, saved, photographed, screen-captured or shared by other users outside our control.
Members are encouraged not to publish unnecessary sensitive information such as hotel room numbers, private residential addresses or other information that unnecessarily identifies their precise accommodation.
7. Travel Post Expiry
Travel posts are temporary. Posts may become active on the selected arrival date and automatically expire following the selected departure date.
Expired posts will no longer be displayed as active posts. Certain records may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary for administration, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or other legitimate purposes.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
13. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Access to sensitive member verification information is restricted to authorised persons. However, no internet service, mobile application, database or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate security, administrative and legal purposes.

16. Your Privacy Choices
Users can control certain privacy settings, including granting or withdrawing location permission, managing notification permissions, choosing what information to include in a member post, editing or removing active posts, and requesting account deletion.
Device permissions can be changed through the relevant device settings.
17. International Use

Hatzolah International is not an emergency service.
The Service does not provide or guarantee ambulance services, emergency dispatch, medical treatment, medical advice, emergency transportation or the availability of any Hatzolah member.
If you or another person is experiencing a medical or life-threatening emergency, immediately contact the official emergency services in your current location.
Do not delay contacting official emergency services while attempting to locate or contact a member through Hatzolah International.
